   MEETTHETEACHER
Hi! My name is Mrs. Fitts, and I’m so excited about starting the new school year. More importantly, I’m THRILLED about being YOUR third grade teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I want to know all about you, but first, I’m going to tell you all about me!
I was born and raised right here in Columbus, GA. I graduated in 2000 from Hardaway High School. I went to college at Columbus State University, where I received my bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Later, I attended Troy State University, where I received my master’s degree in Elementary Education, and then completed my Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia.
I started teaching back in 2004 at Dimon Magnet Academy. I taught 4thgrade for three years. Then, I moved over to become a Britt David Bulldog in 2007.This school year will now be my sixth year teaching third grade.
In 2005, I married a fabulous man, Joel Fitts. He works at TSYS. We have two precious little boys: Carter and Brody. Carter is almost 3, and Brody will be two in October. They are so much fun and keep me on my toes at ALL times! I love them SO much. I can’t wait to share their funny stories with you at school. I’ll really be missing my boys while I’m here, so I’ll need hugs from you.
I’m so excited to be your third grade teacher. I believe that we are all placed together for a greater purpose. I look forward to finding that purpose.
