These will start on Monday, February 8th.
CRCT Blitz Time! Beginning next week, you will be receiving weekly CRCT
packets Mondays. They are due the following Friday. Please have your child
work on these on their own nightly, and then check over the work with them
upon completion. We will go over them in class as well. These are very
important packets DIRECTLY aligned with GA standards and the CRCT. Please
assist me in finding areas of struggle for your child, so we can work
together to get each and every child into the exceeds category! They will
also be receiving a log sheet for CRCT online practice quizzes. This works
similarly to their reading logs. They will be taking nightly online quizzes,
as well as working on them in class. We want all of our precious children to
EXCEED in all areas on the CRCT. This is a goal we are confident is
achievable with hard work and a continued home/ school connection! Look for
this important information in your child's DOG binder next week.
Thanks again to Mrs. Albert, Ashton's stepmom, for volunteering to be the
room representative for the fall festival. She did an awesome job on the
basket! We are now in need of a new room representative for the second half
of the year. Please let me know if you are able to help! This is a very
important job for the running of the classroom! Please consider and let me
know if you're able to help. Thank you in advance!
General Reminders:
Please continue working with your child nightly to encourage their AR
reading. We have set an additional goal to read at least one non-fiction
book, on level, each week for the remainder of the 9 weeks. Understanding non-
fiction will allow greater success in all areas of the curriculum!
AR Requirements: This year, we will be setting personal point goals for each
student based on their own ZPD. All students are required to maintain an
average of 85% regardless of their point goal.
If you would like access to your child’s AR information and the AR Quiz list
please go to the following site:

Their login is the 10-digit number they use to login at school. It is the
school ID that will follow them throughout their school careers, so I've
asked them all to memorize them. I have sent this number home on a notecard
with each student. Their password is "INITPASS," just like at school as
well.
Enter as a parent and then click on Request Parent/Guardian Access. Fill
out the information requested. You can even get e-mail notification when your
