Millionaire Program
This program is
designed to help students go to the next level in reading. Students must read
a total of 25 books. The new Georgia Performance Standards ELA5R2 states the
student consistently reads at least twenty-five books or book equivalents
(approximately 1,000,000 words) each year. The materials should include
traditional and contemporary literature (both fiction and non-fiction) as well
as magazines, newspapers, textbooks, and electronic material. Such reading
should represent a diverse collection of material from at least three
different literary forms and from at least five different writers.
AR Information
Students will be
taken through adventures in different genres of books. From poetry to
historical fiction novels, the students will participate in guided and
independent reading. Each student will have to meet certain objectives in
reading that will meet their individual needs. As Mrs. Williams and I have the
opportunity to collaborate, more iformation will be provided for you.
Meanwhile, continue to enjoy reading!!
