News to You:
  • The Jingle Jog was a chilly, but fun race! It was great to run with some of the kids! Thanks to those that supported the PE department by purchasing shirts even if you couldn't make it!
  • The December book order is available online. Please order by Thursday morning at 7:30 AM so we receive our books on time for the holidays. There are great choices and books are the perfect gift for our students! (This time I include both Lucky and Arrow catalogs. Arrow is for grades 4/5, but some of our higher readers will do well with those books.)If you would like to order some as a gift for your child and don't want them to know about it simply send me an email. When the books arrive I will put them aside for you to pick up.
  • Our Student Council is sponsoring a canned food drive, and we also have a toy drive. Feel free to send these items with your child, and we'll get everything where it needs to be!
  • We have a geometry test Friday. Kids have a study guide they filled out in class. Use it to study nightly!
  • We are busy finishing up all the curriculum for this nine weeks. Please make sure kids arrive on time so they don't miss anything!
  • Our Math Fact Pizza Party will be on the 18th after our Economics Fair. Your child has to have passed their facts through 10. In order to come to the party. Make sure they practice their facts EVERY night!
  • I still have a few kids who have not turned in their permission slips for the Economics Fair. Please get this in ASAP as your child needs to begin working on their project at home. All items will be brought to school on the 17th. Please do not send them in earlier- we don't have any storage space!
Last week:
  • We had a blast at High Touch High Tech last week! We learned more information on habitats and even reviewed rocks and fossils! Ask your student about the fun learning activities!
  • The kids made snakes and donuts during an economics lesson! They didn't want to stop they were enjoying the lesson so much! Ask your child about it!
  • We said goodbye to Miss Cuel. Thank you to everyone who sent in books! We had a bunch, and I was able to put them in a basket with some other teacher supplies and give her a nice start to her own classroom! She will be student teaching at Timber Ridge in a Kindergarten room in the Spring.
