NIKE hosted it's 3rd annual NIKETOWN 5K on Saturday, March 8th, 2008 and Atlanta was again chosen as one of a select few locations across the country to host the event. This event is specifically designed to help meet NikeGo's mission; "get kids moving and give them the means to do it." Students and parents can choose to run in either a 5K (3.1 miles) or a NikeGO 1 mile distance. 100% of the entry fees from East Side participants were returned to the East Side P.E.
