About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, with both my parents, my sister and my dog. I attended and graduated from Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama. I then attended college at Troy State University in Troy, Alabama. I graduated in May of 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education. GO TROJANS! From this point I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and began teaching at East Side Elementary and have taught here for the past seven years. I am very thankful to teach in a school that is supported by the community and the families within East Side. I also recently finished my Master's Degree from Kennesaw State University in May of 2007. A few of my favorite things to do are hiking, cooking, painting, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and watching Alabama and Troy football. ROLL TIDE! I also love to play with my dog Molly, she is a dacshund mix who is very playful and silly.
Mission Label:
Mission
My mission for the class is for every student to gain new knowledge of themselves and of the world around them. I want them to become responsible students who will grow and embrace that responsibility to learn new, fun, and exciting things through their experiences. I believe EVERY child can learn and succeed in life. I want all of my students to realize and reach their full potential. They can achieve anything they put their mind to, when they try. I believe in using good manners and proper English. Can't is not a word in our classroom. Every student is different but equal. While we are working hard and learning all of the 1st grade material, we will have fun doing it! SITE MASTER: Alyssa Guy COBB COUNTY WEBSITE: www.cobbk12.org
