About The Teacher
My teaching career includes teaching in private and public education as classroom teacher and a gifted education specialist. For over twenty years I've enjoyed teaching gifted students in our Target program at East Side Elementary. Through integrated, differentiated, thematic units I encourage higher level thinking skills, creative and analytical problem solving,and give students challenges in research and technology. A couple of years ago I was honored to receive a Fulbright scholarship and traveled to Hungary and Czech Republic with thirteen other teachers and college professors from Georgia. It is a pleasure sharing such a remarkable experience with students and teachers. My hobbies include gardening, hiking, biking, yoga, travel....and teaching. As well, I continue to work on the Advisory Board for East Cobb Park.
