Above and Beyond In order to meet my expectations for "Takes initiative to go beyond requirements," each student must present two Above and Beyond projects during each nine week grading period unless otherwise stated in class. An Above and Beyond presentation can be on any topic of interest to the student. The student must have prepared and practiced the presentation at home. They will time at least one of their "practices" so they can tell me how long their presentation will take. An Above and Beyond project needs to be 3-5 minutes long. The Above and Beyond presentation must have some kind of visual aid to go with it. The student must sign the Above and Beyond book in the classroom after they have presented their Above and Beyond project. I reserve the right to ask a student to practice a presentation more and present their Above and Beyond the next week. Don't wait until the last two weeks of the grading period to do your Above and Beyond projects!
