Parents,

During ASP on Wednesday, December 16, the school received a telephone call from the police indicating a possible emergency across the street from East Side Elementary.  Our school was in "lock down" mode until it was confirmed by Chief Arrowood's office (Department of Safety and Security) that the incident was under control and we were not in any danger.  All Cobb County Safety precautions were followed.

The administration and office staff wants to take this time to wish you all a Very Happy Holiday Season and Wonderful New Year.   Enjoy your time off - rest and enjoy time with your family.

Remember Winter Break is December 19-January 4.  Staff returns to work on Monday, January 4 - Students return on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.

If you have new families that move into your neighborhood during the holidays, please let them know that registration for new students will be Monday, January 4 - 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30 -3:00 p.m.  Additional information is available on the school web site under front office.
