About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I have been married to a my husband, David, for 38 years. Our family has lived in the Marietta area for over twenty years. We now consider ourselves native Georgians because we have lived here for so long. We have three beautiful daughters, two terrific sons-in-law and two adorable grand- daughters. Katie, her husband, Lee and Charlotte are currently living with us until there house sells in the Athens area. Lee is now the band director at Norcross High School and Katie is a stay at home Mom and part-time guard instructor. Kirby and her husband, Daniel, live in Colege Park where Daniel is the main vet at Briarcliff Veterinary Clinic Two. They are the proud parents of Felicity. Kristin is between here and Chattanooga somewhat in transition. The job she had at a church in Chattanoogo ended late this summer due to the economy and she is looking for a new job. Dave and I did think of ourselves as empty nesters - except for Mitzi, our dog, but for a while longer we are vey busy helping out where with can and enjoying the company of Charlotte for the next few months. I have been teaching in Cobb County for 17 years with an additional six years of teaching experience in Mississippi and Arkansas. I have my Masters degree and am certified in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I just completed the Gifted Certificatioan requirements this summer and am now certified in that area as well. I enjoy reading and doing handwork in my free time.
