Welcome to 1st grade, I am excited to have each and every one of you in my
classroom this year!
Just to give you an idea of what we are working on this 1st 9 Weeks .....
Language Arts:
Reading: We are learning how to choose the right books for us, as well as where are good places to
read.
Writing: Our writing goals for this 9 weeks are ... put your name on your paper, write one complete
sentence, leave space between words, and no capital letters in the middle of sentences.
Math: We are working on numbers to 30, addition to 10, subtraction to 10, and money
Theme: We are learning about where we live (address, city, county, state, nation), as well as landforms.
