August 17, 2009 Dear Parents, I thought we would start the homework routine as listed on the homework page this week. However, that is not the case. I am letting the students build up to that. Tonight for homework the students will study their spelling words, study their math facts, read a book, and write a free story.( That is a story about whatever they want to write. P.S. The homework assignment sheet did not come out clearly. I have only one printer that I can print right now. I am in a new room this year and my computer does not print to the one in here yet. I will try to use my flash drive and see if I can print it to someone else's printer. Tonight I have given the students a Brain Teaser activity. Let your child try to complete it on their own first. Then you all can work on it together. Do not worry if you can not get it to work. I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing summer and are ready for a great school year. I enjoyed meeting you all on Thursday at Meet and Greet.
