Hi Parents,
Please don't forget our fifth graders will be performing this Thursday evening following the PTA meeting. Students will meet in the classroom at 6:15. We will stay put until the meeting is over, and then we'll all head down to cafeteria to perform. Please hold all coats, hats, etc. for students as we will dismiss immediately following the program. The PTA meeting starts at 6:30, fifth graders follow.
Looking forward to it,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
Just a quick reminder about the IOWA. We will test Monday through Friday and plan on changing our schedule a little bit with Specials to start at 8:00 instead of 8:55. This will give us a nice solid block of uninterrupted time, approximately 9:15 to 11:15. The students were reminded that the best way to prepare for testing is to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and get to school on time.
Hope this helps,
Mrs. Pernaci

Hi Parents,
I didn't realize that a PTA meeting in the cafeteria precedes Open House tomorrow night. We will meet in the classroom immediately following.
Looking forward to seeing you,

Hi Parents,

The "Take Home" folders went home today with progress report and papers from school and classroom. Take a look; please sign and return tomorrow. Thanks!

We also talked about using the Math Online Textbook in class today. I have added the username, password, and the link to my Web Site under Math Links. This is an excellent resource; check it out.  Better yet, let your student show you around the Site.
Have a good evening,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
We've have entered the second week of school and are beginning to establish routines. I just wanted you to know what to expect. Student planners should come home every day with assignments written in them. I will also try to keep the Assignment link on my Web Page current so you or students can clarify these assignments if needed. Mondays will be the day for the "Take home" folders to go home. These folders will have a progress report in them; please sign weekly. The folder will also have graded papers and other information from the office, PTA, Foundation, etc. Hope
this helps.
Have a good evening,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
Yeah!  Everyone was present today and on time. We're off to a great start, and I can tell already that I have a wonderful group of students.
A child in our class does have nut and peanut allergies so I would like to ask for your consideration when sending in snacks for your child or for the classroom.
Best regards,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
I was able to meet almost all of my students and many parents during Meet and Greet. The children looked relaxed, confident, and ready to start a new year. Lots of supplies have been brought in already, but I have posted the list for those that still need to shop. Please don't forget to add your name and email address to the NewsFlash page. (parent name and email please)
Looking forward to our first day,
Mrs. Pernaci

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the start of a new school year. I look forward to meeting each and everyone of
you during Meet and Greet. This informal, get-to-know you time is Thursday, the 6th of August
from 3:30 to 4:30 in classroom 401. This is the perfect time for students to drop in, see their new
surroundings, ask a few questions, and familiarize themselves with East Side if new to the school.
Please take a moment to add your name and email address to the list. Just click the subscribe
option below. NewsFlash is a great way for parents and teacher to communicate throughout the year.

Looking forward to a wonderful year,ani_superteacher.gif
