Please check your child's planner for the dates when their required reading books are due.  At least 2 books will be required every two weeks.  They may choose any chapter book within their reading level.  At the completion of every two books, please initial your child's reading log.  Thanks.

Our class holiday party turned out to be a real success thanks to the efforts of our very special class mom.  Mollie Cushing is incredible and is very much appreciated!  She planned a fun-filled hour for the children with a lovely frame-painting session and some wonderful treats.  Thanks, too, to the parents who participated in the party. 

The children also enjoyed "our" class reward day on Friday, December 18th.  It was a day they earned by showing good behavior in class and in "Specials."  They loved their holiday gift from me and were shocked that I found the time to personalize a notepad for each child.  They also enjoyed the bagels with cream cheese or butter.

We now get back to the next marking period and some more hard work.  These are the areas we will be studying:

    Math:  Fractions, Weight, Measurement, and Data Collection

    Social Studies:  We will be completing Colonization and go onto the American Revolution
    Science:  Solar System
