The lost and found is going to be sent off to charity by Friday. If your child is missing something please look for it tomorrow!
One For Books
Thank you to everyone who has donated to One For Books already.
The money will be used to purchase books to send to Norton Park
Elementary School. The Principal is so grateful for the donation. Any
additional books we have will go to The Fragile Kids Foundation. This
is a great foundation that works with families of medically fragile
kids right here in Georgia. Don't forget that for every dollar we raise
Scholastic will donate a book to one of their chosen charities. The top
3 classes will receive $100 in books for their classroom and the top
class will also get passes to Pump It Up.
All of the East Side teacher's decorated hot air balloons to celebrate the book fair. They are holding a contest for the best balloon. The cost of each vote is twenty five cents (to be donated to the charity above). On Thursday (we didn't have time to vote on Wed.) our class will be voting on our favorite hot air balloon. Please send your child to school with a quarter to vote. Thanks!
On Tuesday, Nov. 17th, from 12:00-12:30 our class will be visiting the book fair. Parents are encouraged to join our class during this time to shop with the students. If a student does not have a parent/grandparent there to help them shop, the students will be writing out a wish list. Please do not send your child with money unless you have listed specific books for them to buy. The book fair will also be open Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30.
