Dear Parents,

   

Our class has been working very hard to write, illustrate, and "publish" class books.  We hope that you have enjoyed reading them with your child as they have come home.  On the very back cover of the books, we have a class list.  The intent is for the students to bring a book home, we mark their name off the list, and the student reads the book with or to you that evening, and returns it to school the next day for another child to enjoy.  Please keep the books circulating so all families may enjoy.

 

Another great way to show your child how to support reading is by taking them to our school book fair.  Our Scholastic book fair will be in the media center through Friday, Nov. 20th. 

 

Lastly,  we are thanking Dad's for sending in an old tie for us to use as "tail feathers" on our class turkey.  It has been a fun display in the hallway for many to enjoy and the students LOVE it!!!  It lets them feel like they have a little piece of dad around the school with us.  

 

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break with family and friends.  We look forward to seeing the students back on Monday, Nov. 30th, and hearing all about their celebrations.
