1. What is the exact purpose of the trip

Academically, the purpose of this trip is to take students to places in our
state that most will never otherwise see. Our social studies curriculum is
Georgia Studies and this trip will take us to many places that they have
read and learned about.

they have worked with over the past school year. The school nurse will also
accompany us.

3. How many kids per room when you stay in hotels?

Four students will share a room. We stay in nice, clean hotels, such as the
Hampton Inn.

4. Will they be allowed to bring their electronics, such as cd players

We will be spending a good deal of time on the bus, so students are
encouraged to bring items to keep them entertained on the trip.
Additionally, there is a DVD system with several televisions placed on the
bus for age/grade appropriate in flight movies.

5. What can and can't they bring on the trip?

A packing list will be issued before the trip with suggestions on what they
need to take (sun screen, bug spray, tooth brush, etc.) Prohibited are any
items unnecessary to the enjoyment of the trip as well as anything that
would conflict with Catoosa County policy.

6. How much spending money do you suggest?

Kids will spend as much as you send with them! How much money is needed for
souvenirs is at your discretion. Students will not need to take any money
except a few dollars for fast food on the trip home. Even then, we will be
stopping to eat in Macon and many kids just wait until we get home to eat
dinner. We encourage everyone to pack a few snacks to take on the bus.

7. When is the first money and how much due?

The first payment of $175.00 is due November 4th and then payments of $100.00
will be due on or before the 15th of each month until the balance is paid.

9. Is there a sign up sheet or what?

Forms will be sent home following the meeting. As those forms are turned
in, the students will be added to a list. After the first 90 students have
registered, names will be placed on a waiting list.
