Classroom Management

In order to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for each
student in our classroom, we will discuss classroom rules and procedures at
length during the first few weeks of school. Everyone will be made aware of
our expectations. We want to provide a fair and consistent atmosphere for
your child. I know with your support, this will be a wonderful year for us
all!

Discipline Plan

1. Each student starts the day with three sticks.
2. Each time a student breaks a rule and does not accept redirection he/she
loses a stick. Consequence: 5 minutes time-out per stick lost.
3. If a student's third stick is lost, the student and I will complete an
Action Plan and call the parent.
4. After we have called the parent, the child will be sent to the office if
the misbehavior continues (Some actions such as hitting, cursing or severe
disruptions will result in an immediate visit to the office).
5. Students may earn sticks back for making better choices.
6. At the end of each day, if a student has three sticks, he/she earns a
happy face on our Behavior Chart and receives the daily treat.
7. Once a student has accumulated five happy faces, his/her good behavior
is rewarded with a trip to the grab box.
8. Our class will also WORK TOGETHER to earn popcorn/movie parties.

Class Rules

1. Treat your friends the way you want them to treat you.
2. Be a good listener.
3. Mind the first time.
4. Always try your best so that you feel proud.
