I am a 1996 graduate of Maryknoll School. Following high school I attended
the University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated with a BA in Political
Science. I then went on to graduate school at Indiana University and earned
a MAT in Social Studies. Upon returning to the islands I taught two years
at Damien Memorial School before returning to Maryknoll where I taught in the
Social Studies department for 3 years. Last year I took an educational leave
of absence to study Chinese and attend the Olympic Games in China. I will be
filling in for Mrs. Matsumoto while she is on maternity leave before I move to
Tokyo in March to pursue teaching in international schools.
To develop a well rounded understanding of different cultures and acquire a
respect for diversity in our ever changing world.
