KAUAI HIGH SCHOOL SCC
MINUTES
April 10, 2008
4:15p.m.
Attendees: Penny Vess, Jorene Solusod, Mallory Miner, Linda L.T. Smith,
Jonathan Chun, Mary Tausend, Jodi Maeda, Judith Stambaugh, Paula Chihara,
Marlene Wong,Charlene Koizumi, Regina Ikehara
I. Call to Order: Chair, Mr. Chun called meeting to order at 4:18p.m.
II. Approval of Agenda: Agenda was approved with change to VI. New
Business Part B. Principal evaluation should be Principal survey, as noted
in italics below. It was clarified by the Secretary, that the meeting date
is May 8, 2008. The survey due date is May 12, 2008. Sorry for the
confusion.
III. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Mrs. Smith to approve March 13, 2008
meeting minutes with these corrections: VII. Future Agenda items, Principal
Evaluation should be Principal Survey and VIII. Announcements, KHS
evacuation drill date changed from May 7, 2008 to May 14, 2008. Minutes
were approved.
IV. Public Input: There was no public input.
V. Old Business:
A. None
VI. New Business:
A. Schedule date for new SCC member orientation/mtg: New SCC members
meeting scheduled for May 28, 2008. Retiring members should attend this
meeting.
B. Principal evaluation Principal survey meeting May 12, 2008 May 8,
2008 (subcommittee?): It was decided that Chair would e-mail all members
the Principal Survey and SCC Self-Assessment forms prior to meeting on May
8, 2008. Members will fill out their forms and be prepared for discussion.
Survey will then be completed with a consensus of our collective survey
responses. A subcommittee was not formed.
VII. Future Agenda items: Chair would like the status of the on-going
attendance and school wear policies to be on a future agenda. Perhaps with
the first meeting in August.
VIII. Announcements: Principal Survey meeting is on Thursday, May 8, 2008
at 4:15p.m.
Next monthly SCC meeting is Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 4:15p.m.
IX. Close: Motion to close by Ms. Miner. Chair adjourned meeting at
4:50p.m.
