What is your policy on late assignments? What is your policy on late papers? You must have your papers ready to turn in when you ARRIVE in class. If not, I reserve the right to dock you half a grade, even if you print it out before the end of class. For each additional day a paper is late, you lose half a grade. Once it is five days late, you cannot receive a passing grade on it. What if I have computer problems that prevent me from getting onine/printing? Try diligently to reach me in person, via phone, or email. Leave messages everywhere. If you are unsuccessful, we can discuss the problem the next class day. However, you must be PROACTIVE with these problems. If you've had several days to complete a project, don't call me in a panic the day of. I will understand real technical problems, but not procrastination. You MUST have a note from parent/guardian. What happens if I come to class unprepared? Your daily participation will go down which in the long run will affect your final grade. You must come to class daily with: your laptop in working order, US History CD textbook, blue/black ink pen, folder paper and any assignment that is due. Please always come prepared with a smile and a positive attitude. Do I need to use parentheticals? Yes. You always need to use parentheticals when doing a research based paper or project. The information you are providing is not your own original idea. You need to give credit where credit is due or this is considered plagiarism. A zero grade will be given for work that is not your own. |
