checklist that was used in class. Topics that have been chosen:
-genetically modified organisms, mandatory flu vaccinations, organ selling,
xenotransplants, physician assisted suicide, partial birth abortions, capital
punishment, intersexed children and gender reassignment surgery, gender
selection, fetal stem cell therapy, animal testing...
2. Bring a clear covered, 3 prong folder for the final exhibition portfolio.
3. Team Proposal is due on friday.
4. There will be no current events homework this week.

1. Read Ch. 3 from the "Pedigree and Family History Taking" link on the

Lorenzo's Oil Worksheet due Wednesday, Oct. 7. Type the question and then the
answer. You must complete questions 3 and 4 and then choose 3 more questions
to answer completely.
Monday, Sept. 21
Check out the last links on TeacherWeb to view some of the resourcs for this
case study on Health Care Reform.
By the end of Tuesday, you should have typed and completed all of Steps 1 and
2 in the case study. Submit one copy per group to the teacher.
Thurs.Sept. 17
Complete Current Events #1, it is due tomorrow! Make sure you are sitting
with your assignment handout as you complete the homework.
It should be typed, have the article you analyzed, and be ready to hand in at
the start of class.
Wed. Sept. 16
1. Each person in the group should complete two more questions for
homework. Type the question, answer and works cited.
2. Current events #1 is due Friday. Check out last Thurs., Fri., Sunday and
Monday's newspapers.
Tues. Sept. 15
1. Each person research 1 question for the Case Study.
2. TYPE the question, answer and works cited to be turned in for homework.

Today we began our first Case Study!
1. Read the articles on President Obama's Health Care Plan that you received
in class. TAKE NOTES.
2. Complete Step 1a and 1b for the case study. Your ethical dilemma should
be worded starting with "Should..."
COME TO CLASS TOMORROW WITH STEP 1 TYPED OR WRITTEN OUT.
3. Go to the links section of this website and read through the last link to
the Health Care Plan from the White House to begin your research for this

4. CURRENT EVENTS #1 IS DUE FRIDAY, SEPT. 18. DON'T PROCRASTICNATE!!!

What is Life?
Electronic Collage Homework
Students are to create an electronic collage using 1-5 quotes from the
movie, “Patch Adams.” Be sure to include either personal or borrowed visuals
for your collage depicting how you would answer the EQ from this movie.
A collage is a compilation of pictures that creates a whole image. Use your
laptop to create both text and pictures for this collage. Be creative!
