My first and foremost job at Maryknoll is to be a good teacher. I have
taught the Advanced Placement Language and Composition course at
Maryknoll for more than 15 years. I am also the English Department Chair,
and my classroom is Room 205. Should you need to see me after class,
that's a good place to look.
I believe that becoming a good person is more important than being a good
student, but I also want you to do well in some rigorous and challenging
work that will prepare you for the AP examination in May. I want you to
succeed, and I am here to help!
We will examine strategies to help you become a more effective writer, a
more critical and reflective reader, and a top-notch thinker. Practice is a
key component of these goals.
