I was born in Austin, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a
B.S. in Marine Science. I have been teaching since 1997, and I have taught
in Boston, Nicaragua, Roatan, and Texas. From August 2006 to June 2008, I
taught high school science at St. Teresa in La Ceiba.
I was married in the pineapple fields of Montecristo to a Honduran, Douglas
Johnson. We have one son, Mason, that will be entering 1st grade in Mazapan
in the 2012-2013 school year.
My students will develop academic excellence in the area of science, and
they will be fully prepared to face the challenges of higher education.
