First graders will have homework in Math every Monday-Thursday. Half way
through the year they will have two math sheets to complete at home. These
sheets take about 5 minutes to complete both of them. It is a good skills
practice time and each child is expected to have it completed before the
next school day. If a student does not do his/her homework, he/she will
have to complete it at recess.
First graders will also have homework to do in reading almost every night.
Your child will come home with a bag that has a book in it. This is a book
that we have practiced a few times at school so it should be easy for them.
Please LISTEN to your child read to YOU and then sign the sheet and return
it to school the next day.
