I grew up on a farm in northeast Iowa. I attended school at M-F-L of Monona
and went to college at the University of Northern Iowa. I previously taught
at the Seymour Community School for 13 years. I taught Title I Preschool,
K-8 Talented & Gifted, and 3rd grade. My family and I moved to Bloomfield in
2003. My husband is the high school principal. We have two children, Kyle
and Shelby. We also have a dog named Husker (since we enjoy cheering for
the Nebraska Cornhusker football team!) I also enjoy going to sporting
events, reading, and spending time with my family.
I believe that children learn in a variety of ways and that they are all
capable of learning given the skills and the opportunity. My goal is to
teach all students by providing instruction in a variety of ways(verbal,
visual, musical, hands-on...).
My mission is also have every child reading at the first grade level by
the end of the year. How will we do this? READ, READ, READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
