I graduated from UNI with a BA degree in Elementary Education with an
emphasis in Special Education. I taught remedial reading and math for 4
years. I am currently in my 30th year in 3rd grade.
I am married to Philip Norton. We have three daughters. Nicole graduated
from the University of Iowa. She and her husband Marc Mueller live in
Willowbrook, Illinois. We also welcomed a granddaughter, Kate. Abby graduated
from Iowa State University. She is a 6th grade teacher in the PCM (Prairie
City Monroe) School district. Drew graduated from Iowa State. She is a
regional coordinator with United Way in Mason City, Iowa.
I enjoying reading, collecting antiques, traveling, and shopping. I also
am an avid Green Bay Packers fan!
The goal for my students is to give them the tools they will need to be
successful in life. I believe anyone can do anything they set out to do. If
parents, students, and the teacher work together only good things will happen.
