The DCHS yearbook is created by the journalism class. The yearbook staff decides what is to be included in the yearbook, designs pages, takes pictures (using both digitial and still cameras), creates stories and captions, and submits pages for publication to Jostens. The yearbook consists of 144 pages and the staff must meet deadlines set by both Mrs. Warning and Jostens. The basic price for our all-color yearbook is $39.00. There are several "add-ons" that students may choose. Each add-on has a price attached to it. Students are given the opportunity to order their yearbooks on a specific day in the fall. Mrs. Warning then sends all orders into Jostens. Jostens is then responsible for invoicing and collecting from the students. This has worked out well for the most part as students are given extra time to pay for their yearbooks rather than paying for them at registration. If students do not get a yearbook ordered in the fall, then decide they would like one, they may purchase a basic yearbook when yearbooks are delivered the following August.
