Early Outs

Thank you for supporting your child during the week of Iowa Assessment Testing. We really appreciate you taking the time to make sure that your child had a good breakfast and plenty of sleep.
Literacy
Please have students read 20 minutes each evening. We are currently working on Unit 5 in our literacy curriculum. We will be testing this unit in the next few weeks. We are focusing on theme and reading a technical text. To access parts of the reading curriculum please click the link below:

Math
Practice multiplication and division facts with with your child.
Homework/Planners
Planners will be brought home everyday and they need to be signed by a parent every evening. The planner is a great communication tool between you and me. Homework will be written in the planner each day. The students will have spelling homework on Monday evenings, which is due Tuesdays. They will have math homework on Tuesday evenings, which is due Wednesday. On Thursday, the students need to take a practice spelling test with a parent. If they miss any words during the practice test they need to write those words 5 times each. The practice test and any missed words needs to be returned on Friday. Students should also be reading 20 minutes each evening.
Please remember the students may only have one late or missing homework assignment to be able to attend the Iowa Energy Game in February.
