Hello, my name is Ms. Barb McGee. This will be my fourth year as the K-6
Technology Teacher at Regina Elementary.

I am a long time Iowa City resident having first come here in 1968 to attend
the University of Iowa. I received a BA in elementary education from the
University of Iowa in 1971. I returned to the University and received an MA
in reading disability in 1981 and an MA in Library and Information Science in
2001.

I taught in the Iowa City public schools for 34 years: 30 years as a classroom
teacher of grades 4, 5 and 6 and 4 years as a K-6 teacher librarian.

I really love being the K-6 Technology Teacher at Regina. This job
combines two of my passions: working with children and working with computers.
I look forward to working with your child this year!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two adult sons, reading,
photography, doing embroidery, and making baby quilts.

Mission for the Class

My mission for the students at Regina Elementary is to become effective users
of technology to support life-long learning. Computer lab activities will be
integrated with the classroom curriculum as much as possible.
