Notes From Ms. Yuska
September 2009
Beginning of the year thoughts:
First of all, I want to thank you all for support and kind words so far this
year! I am thoroughly enjoying each and every one of your children in my
class! There is quite a change from third to fourth grade as far as amount of
work and responsibility. In our class we are definitely working on being
responsible students. Part of being an active and responsible student is
getting work completed in a timely fashion. In the assignment notebook,
students are to write when assignments are due. They are also supposed to be
taking home the appropriate textbook and/or materials they need to complete
the night’s homework. Students are also expected to have the assignment
notebook signed nightly to show that all homework has been completed and they
are ready for the next day. Please go through your child’s accordion file
with them and have them show you that each assignment is completed. This
will insure that students are being responsible about bringing homework home
and will avoid getting lates. Thank you very much for your help with this. I
want to do what is necessary to help your child get off on the right start and
to have a good 4th grade year. This will happen if we all work together! ☺
