Today in U.S. History we went over the War of 1812. We also worked on WB pg.
45 in class.
Workbook pages 43-45 are due tomorrow.

Today in U.S. History students went over the part of Ch. 9 dealing
with "Indians and the Northwest Territory." During class students answered
the section review questions on page 183. Students also began working on WB
pg. 43 & 44.
For tomorrow students need to read pg. 183-188.

Today in U.S. History students worked on their History of Christmas projects
which are due tomorrow. If students are bringing an edible item for the 3-D
portion they should not bring them tomorrow. They should bring them to the
program on Sunday evening.

Today in U.S. History students worked on their History of Christmas
projects.
Reminder: The projects are due on Thursday (12/10) and the History of
Christmas program is this Sunday evening (12/13) at 6:00.

Today in U.S. History we watched a video about Lewis and Clark. The WB pg.
41-42 assignment was due.
Tomorrow we will be working on the History of Christmas projects. Students
must bring their materials to work on it. If they do not bring the materials
to work on projects, they will get an assignment to work on.

Today most of the U.S. History class was on a field trip so we didn't work on
anything additional.
Reminder: WB 41-42 is due Monday and students should read 178-183 for
Monday. Also, the History of Christmas projects are due next Thursday
(12/10). If the student(s) is bringing a baked good for their 3-D part of
the project, I ask that they do not bring it to school on Dec. 10, but bring
it the night of the program on December 13.

Today in U.S. History we went over "Jefferson's Triumphs Abroad." They also
had time to work on their History of Christmas projects.
The students need to complete WB pgs. 41-42 for Monday. They will need some
sources outside of the textbook to finish the assignments. They should also
read pg. 178-183 in the textbook.

Today in U.S. History we went over the "Revolution of 1800." For tomorrow
students need to read pg. 175-178.

Today in U.S History students had time to work on their projects for the
History of Christmas program. For tomorrow students should read 171-175 in
the textbook.

Today in U.S. History students received their Ch. 8 test back. They can
correct errors to improve their scores.
Students should be collecting research information and items for their
History of Christmas projects. We will have some class time to work on them
in the days after Thanksgiving Break.

Today in U.S. History students took their Ch. 8 test. For tomorrow students
should read pg 171-175.

Today in U.S. History we did WB pg. 39 in class and students turned it in.
We also reviewed for the Ch. 8 test which is tomorrow. Students received a
note card which they can use on the test.

Today in U.S. History we went over the decline of the Federalist party. We
completed WB pg. 38 and it was turned in. There will be a test on Ch. 8 on
Wednesday.
We also discussed the History of Christmas projects and students received the
instructions they need for completing them. They are due on December 10.

Today in U.S. History we went over "Emerging Political Parties" and answered
the review questions. For Monday, students need to finish WB pg. 37 and read
the next section in Chapter 8 (pgs. 162-166).

Today in U.S. History we went over the beginnings of the new government. For
tomorrow students need to complete WB pg. 37. They will probably need to use
the internet to complete the assignment.

Today in U.S. History students took an open book test on Ch. 7.
For tomorrow students need to read pages 153-157.

Today in U.S. History we talked about the struggle to ratify the new
Constituion. Students need to complete WB pg. 36 for tomorrow. Tomorrow
students will have an open book test on Ch. 7.

Today in U.S. History we talked about the process of writing the new U.S.
Constitution in 1787.
For Monday, students need to read 146-150 and completed WB pg. 35.

Today in U.S. History we began looking at "The Critical Period" of governing
the new country after the Revolutionary War.
For tomorrow students need to read the next section (141-146) and complete WB
pg. 33.
I will be placing some web links on the "Links" page on this site which
students could use in researching for the History of Christmas projects.

Today in U.S. History we finished our review game. We then began talking
about what our class would do for the History of Christmas program on
December 13. We will be looking at how Christmas was celebrated in early
American history.
For tomorrow students need to read the first section of Ch. 7 (pg. 133-141).

131 in the textbook. We also began playing a review game. We will finish
tomorrow.
