Meet the Teacher

My name is Christa Snyder and I am delighted to be a kindergarten teacher at Hubbard-Teed Elementary this year!
I am an Idaho native, born in Moscow and raised all around the world because my dad was in the United States Air Force. In 1993, I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho and I received my Master of Arts in Education/Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix in 2009.  I taught kindergarten in Nampa, Idaho for seven years before moving to Kuna, Idaho. After teaching kindergarten for eight years at Hubbard Elementary, I moved to Crimson Point and taught first grade for four years. I've also been an instructional coach and elementary school principal.
When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, watching movies, baking, and spending time with my wonderful family. My husband, Ted, is a Boise City police officer and we are the proud parents of two great kids. Joshua is 21 and Becca is 12. We also share our home with four furry family members; Zoey is a Maine Coon cat, Nova is a black lab, Samson is a Great Dane and Trixie is a Havishire.
I'm looking forward to all of the challenges and successes we'll experience together this year. My main purpose as a teacher is to inspire students to be world class citizens and life long learners. I want kids to know that learning is fun!
