Does the STAR program count for a grade?

Yes, it does count for a grade as of the 07-08 school year.  A percentage of 
book chat forms or templates (honors) will be calcuated at the end of the 
year for a final grade.

Are there many large on going projects in this class?

No, there are not many large projects that go on strictly outside of class.  
There are book projects assigned quarterly, but most projects or long 
assignments last about two weeks with lots of production taking place in the 
classroom.

Do the Navigator students take field trips?

Yes, we are going to the Encore plays in October and Great America for math 
and science days in May.

Should my child have homework they should be working on?

Yes, homework is given 2-3 nights a week if not more.  However, time is 
always given during class to help students finish and turn in the 
assignments before they leave.
