Welcome to kindergarten! Hello, my name is Melissa Alberts and I will be your child's teacher this year! I am so excited and proud to be a member of Big Hollow's awesome kindergarten team! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child during this wonderful time!
To share a little about myself, I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a special education endorsement, in 1996. From then, I worked 4 years with 3-5 year old at-risk and special education children. In 2000, my husband Steve and I welcomed my son, and was a stay at home mom for some time.
I currently live in Spring Grove, with my husband, 3 children, and a dog. I enjoy watching my children play sports, running marathons, and doing yard work.
