Snacks- Each day your child will be given a snack break. Each student will be responsible for bringing their own snack. We have a drinking fountain in the room or your child may bring bottled water.
Book Orders- Once a month you will receive a book order form. If you would like to order books please fill out the form and return it to school by due date. Checks can be made out to Scholastic. Order forms will not be accepted after due date.
Extra Clothes- Accidents can happen at school. If you feel like this might happen, feel free to send in an extra set of clothes. The clothes can be kept in your child's backpack.
Birthdays- We would love to celebrate your child's birthday here at school. This year due to many food allergies, we will not be celebrating with food treats. It is difficult to accommodate all the different food allergies and we don't want any child to feel left out. Birthdays can be celebrated by bringing in non-food items. Some examples are pencils, stickers, or book marks. Thank you for understanding that the safety and well being of all of our students is important.
Behavior System-The theme of our classroom is monsters. We would love to have a class of "Marvelous Monsters" this year. Each student will have a monster hanging on the wall. They will start each day out with two pompoms on their monster. If they lose a pompom they will receive a warning and they will be removed from the situation. If they lose two pompoms I will send a note home in their daily folder.
Daily Folder- Your child will bring their Daily folder home each day. This is a way for us to communicate. Any important information from school will be placed in it. If you have any notes for me, be sure to put it in your child's folder rather than their backpacks. I don't always check backpacks. Students will be responsible for putting their folders in a basket every morning. If it's not in the basket I will assume that it's at home. Folders must come back to school everyday!
Classroom Parties- In kindergarten we will have a Halloween, holiday, Valentines and 100th day party. Information about each party will be sent home at a later date.
