A note from Mrs. Schiller, our music teacher...
Hello 3rd Grade Families!
During these last few weeks of school, all 3rd grade students have been learning more about band instruments during their music classes. Our current band teacher, Ms. Katie Reis has been kind enough to come in so we could give the kids a chance to see some real band instruments in class. She is also letting the 3rd graders try one or two instruments out as part of our lesson. Every year, our lesson on band is always well received and the kids really enjoy getting the chance to try out some of the instruments first hand.
I wanted to let all the 3rd grade families know that the kids might be mentioning their band lesson (hopefully many of whom are interested). Again, these lessons were last week and then there will be some again this week.
At this time, our band program is undergoing some changes for next year so unfortunately I do not have any band information about next year to pass on to families at this time. As soon as that information is made available to me, I will pass it on.
