Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! I am excited to begin this first grade journey with your child. This is a year where you will witness much growth in your child, both academically and socially. I look forward to working with you and your child. Our classroom theme is "The Robbin Nest".
This is my seventh year teaching at Big Hollow Primary. I graduated from Western Illinois University with a Special Education/Learning Disabilities and Elementary Education certificate. I worked in Schaumburg School District as a first and second grade teacher prior to raising my own five children. I enjoy teaching first grade and work with an excellent team of teachers.
Communication is a key ingredient in your child's success in first grade; therefore, I have developed an easy way for us to keep in touch. Inside your child's daily Home Folder you will find a "Talk Tab" notebook. Please feel free to write any comments, questions, and concerns and I will also be doing the same. I am available by phone or e-mail.
