Hello and thank you for visiting my web page.  I am Miss VanOppen and I am looking forward to another exciting school year.  I have been teaching at CJHS for 12 years now.  I have been the 6th Grade Instructional teacher for all twelve years.  I also coach 8th Grade Girls' Basketball.  I want each student to have a successful school year, and that takes a team effort.  If your son/daughter is having any difficulties or if you have a question, please contact me by email or by phone.  

Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my awesome family and friends.  I have three nephews and one niece that I love to spoil.  I get together  with my family every Sunday to catch up and hang out.  I also enjoy anything to do with the outdoors.  I love to go on walks with my dog Mollie, ride my bike, lay in my hammock and read, and FISH!!!  I go fishing in Minnesota every summer!  I am also a sports fanatic! I played women's basketball at Bradley University.  I coach at CJHS and I enjoy working out.  I am a big fan of college basketball and my favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs!
