A Little History

Growing up, I lived in two different states, Florida & Illinois. While in
Florida I lived with my mom in Kissimmee, home to Disney World. I come from
an educator background with my dad teaching high school math at Brimfield
High School and my step-mother teaching 6th grade in Peoria Heights. I
attended Western Illinois University where my first major was Athletic
Training. After some consideration, I decided to change my major and pursue
a degree in the education field. It has been 12 years since I started my
career in education and all 12 years have been with Central Junior High
School. For the first 7 years, I taught 6th grade math on both the blue and
gold teams. During my 8th year at CHJS, I also became the Athletic Director
and have held that position for 5 years running. For the last 4 years, I’ve
been the Assistant Principal and truly love working for the East Peoria
Community – where I feel at home.

My wife, Angie, and I have been married for 2 ½ years. We do not currently
have any children, but we do have a beautiful three old boxer named Macy.

Education:
2000 - Western Illinois University, B.A. Elementary Education
2007 - Bradley University, M.S. Educational Administration

Here to Help Students Succeed

My mission is to help your child succeed during his/her Junior High years,
the age group that holds a special place in my heart. I know the Assistant
Principal sometimes comes with a negative tone, but I aim to know each
student on a personal level and your child's success is my first priority.
Anytime that you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or
email me.
