About The Teacher
Hello to students, families, and staff of CJHS. My name is Josh Prichard, and I am the health and physical education teacher here at Central Junior High School. This is a very exciting time for CJHS because this will be my third year teaching Health at the 7th and 8th grade levels. I graduated from Luther College in the spring of 2009 with a degree in health and physical education. I finished my student teaching experience at North Winneshiek Community School District in Decorah, Iowa and Waukon High School in Waukon, Iowa teaching both health and physical education. While at Luther, I was a member of the Luther College Wrestling team, and I have spent two summers working at a fitness camp in La Jolla, California. In California, I worked as a pre-teen counselor for 8 to 12 year olds and taught four activity classes a day ranging from basketball, soccer, lacrosse and swimming. As my background indicates, I thoroughly enjoy working with children and health and physical education has, and continues to be, a huge part of my life. My goal as a health and physical educator is to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle for all students to live and learn by. I am both pleased and excited to work with the outstanding staff and students at Central Junior High School.
