FAQFrequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
How are the grades determined in your class? How can my child not be passing? A minimum of five points are earned daily. 1 point is earned for being prepared, 1 point for being on time, and 3 points for sportsmanship, and behavior. Homework includes all health assignments and exercise journals. and attitude. Additional points are earned for their scores using their heart rate monitors and digi-walkers. Points are also earned from homework assignments, study guides, tests, and health. Order forms are in the front office and we have a supply on hand of uniforms and heart rate monitor straps. What can I do to keep my child active? Take time to workout with them. Take a walk. Remember that their exercise journal requires them to stay active 3-4 days per week for 20-30 minutes. It is actually suggested that children get atleast 60 minutes of activity each and every day. What should my child do if they miss a day of P.E.? Students that miss a day of P.E. for any reason need to complete the worksheet that is on the board in the gym. It has a couple of different options for them to get the points back. Any day missed goes in as a 0 out of 5. |
