Reading Expectations:
1. Reading Log
4th Graders are expected to complete a reading log everyday at school. Over the weekend, please make
sure you sign the log and monitor their reading by asking them about what they have been reading.
2. Read Up
4th Graders are expected to complete a minimum of one Read Up test per month. The students will
take and pass the test on the book they are reading. Read up test are taken at school.
3. Book Experience
4th Graders are expected to do a monthly Book Experience. The Book Experience changes every month.
4. Book It! Program
4th Graders participate in the Book It! Program. They are to read 2 chapter books and a readers choice:
any type of literature of their choice.
