Please practice these words with your child every week with the flash cards
sent home in my weekly newsletter. It is important that the students are
able to recognize and read each one of these word quickly by sight without
"sounding them out". The students should also be able to use these words in
sentences and construct sentences out of the word wall words. We work with
the word wall words daily in the first grade classroom. Sight word
identification tests will be given periodically throughout the
year.
