The same day as the Unit Exam.

Come prepared for class or you will miss out on the day's activities.

As long as you cover the entire topic with facts based on the reading.

Yes you may. But for each day you're late your grade will be reduced by 5% 
points.

Yes you may. However, you will also need to write an essay answering the 
question "why I wasn't prepared for class?"

It is your and every other students responsibility to ask me personally the 
assignments missed while you were gone from campus.  I will NOT track you 
down.

There will always be several essays on the test to choose from and the 
students will need to choose two of these to meet the requirements.

No.  There will be assigned seats starting on day one.

What if I loose the textbook?

Your are responsible for replacing the text book by either buying a new one 
or paying Golf District 67 to replace lost item.

May I use my i-Pod during class.

Never.  It may get stolen and can be distracting towards other students.

May I use my cell phone during school hours?

You may NOT use your phone during school hours.  It is the districts policy 
for teachers to take posession of cell phones and hand them into the front 
office where parents may pick up the phones.

How much homework should we expect?

The eigth graders should expect three assingments a week and the seventh 
graders should expect four assignments per week.

Yes.  You must meet school policy when it comes to eligibility.

Ask Mr. Carris and he will schedule a special time before school, after 
school or during lunch.

There will be a sign-up sheet one week prior to try-outs in my class room.
