Homework

MATH: Math homework is given every single night. There will always be a
practice worksheet that corresponds to that day's lesson. Also, math
flashcards should be practiced each night unless the student's are told
otherwise.

SPELLING: New spelling lists are passed out on Monday of every week.
Students need to study and practice these words for the post-test on
Friday. The students are also expected to do their "Spelling Sentences",
due Thursday every week. They must write at least five sentences, using at
least 10 words from that week's spelling list.

READING: Students are expected to read for at least 15 minutes each night.
They will get a reading log at the beginning of every week to keep track of
their minutes. Students will also be given reading comprehension practice
sheets.

VOCABULARY: Students will get a vocabulary list every Friday that will go
with the next week's reading story. The students will be responsible for
reading and spelling the words, knowing their meanings, and using them in a
sentence.

SCIENCE/S.S.: Science and social studies homework will only be given on
certain occasions. There will not be nightly homework in these subjects.
