ESL classes (English as a second language) are held for students who qualify for the program. A student qualifies as determined by the W-APT screener which is administered by Mrs. Goldader. Of course, a parent may refuse services if they so desire. ESL classes consist of language skills, vocabulary and grammar in a small group setting. Classroom teachers sometimes ask for additional help for the ESL student. This proves to be valuable to the student who does not speak English as a native language, as it makes the material more comprehensible for the student.
