First graders will work hard to strengthen their vocabularies. We have a
classroom word wall, which serves as a helpful tool for increasing
vocabulary. It is important for students to be able to recognize and read
new words.
Each week we will review some basic sight words. Students will practice
identifying these words and using them in sentences.
Please practice these words at home with your children. Encourage them to
identify them in print, as well as to use them orally. It is a good idea to
review past words as well.
