What happens if my child misses school?

Please call the school as soon as you know of a child's absence. When your
child returns to school, he or she is responsible to figure out what work
was missed. S/He is responsible for completing any missing assignments in
the amount of days that he or she was absent. For example, if a child is
absent on Monday, when s/he returns on Tuesday, s/he is responsible for
completing any missing assignments by Wednesday. Please contact the teacher
if you have questions.

Can my child celebrate his/her birthday in school?

Yes, students may bring in a store-bought treat or anything else he/she
wishes to share. Just be certain to bring in enough items for all 23
students. Birthdays will be celebrated for the last 20 minutes of the day,
and may be shortened if necessary. If your child has a summer birthday,
please feel free to contact me about setting up a "half birthday"
celebration.

When can my child receive "Homework Help"?

Homework help is available every morning from 7:30 am - 8:15 am, and after
school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Students
who stay for after school homework assistance may take the 4:30 bus home.
If students choose to attend homework help, they must stay for the entire
duration of the period, and they may not arrive later than 7:40 for morning
help.
