Goals for Resource1. To remediate individual deficits where possible.
2. To add new skills to the student's repertoire. 3. To assist classroom teachers in meeting the student's needs. 4. To monitor the student's progress in his/her classes. 5. To modify instructional materials where necessary to meet the student's individual learning mode. 6. To help the student better understand how he/she learns and teach ways to compensate for deficits. 7. To coordinate the total program for the student with parents, social worker, and other appropriate services as specified by the Individualized Educational Program (I.E.P.). 8. To assist the student to modify his/her behavior to comply with the social and behavioral expectations of the school community. 9. To pre-teach when necessary, so as to prepare the student for specific lessons in their regular classes. 10. To re-teach concepts already presented in the regular class (reinforce, review). |
